A fourteen member Parliamentarian Delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain headed by Honorable Mr. Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al- Dhahrani, Speaker of the House of Representatives visited India on a five day official visit from November 28th to 2nd December 2007. The High Ranking Delegation was here on the Invitation of the Honrable Speaker of Lok Sabha Mr. Somnath Chatterjee.

During their stay the delegation met H.E. Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of the Republic of India, Honorable Vice President Shri M. Hamid Ansari, Honorable Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Somnath Chatterjee and other High Ranking Indian Officials.

The delegation also visited the Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha) during the Question hour. Mr. Somnath Chatterjee Speaker of the Lok Sabha welcomed the delegation and conveyed greetings and best wishes of the House to His Majesty the King, the Parliament , the Government and the friendly people of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Honorable Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Shri M. Hamid Ansari welcomed the delegation in the Upper House and wished it a pleasant stay during its visit to the country.
